TokTix has built-in SMS so you can text your audience directly — the most reliable way to fill a room. You write the message, pick who gets it, and TokTix handles the sending and the compliance.
Send a blast
- Go to the Messages tab and open your SMS hub.
- Tap New Blast.
- Write your message. Keep it short and lead with the ask — a date, a link, a reason to buy now.
- Choose your audience. You can send to everyone, or narrow it down by tag.
- Check the recipient count and use the preview to see exactly what will land.
- Tap Send now.
Build and organize your audience
Your subscribers live under Audience, grouped by status:
- Subscribed — opted in to your marketing. These are who blasts go to.
- Awaiting confirmation — invited but not yet confirmed.
- Unsubscribed — opted out. TokTix won't text them, automatically.
Add tags to group people (e.g. vip, bushwick, past-buyer) so you can target a blast instead of texting everyone.
Consent & compliance (read this once)
Text marketing is regulated, and TokTix keeps you on the right side of it:
- People must opt in before you can message them — TokTix manages that consent for you.
- Every message respects STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for info.
- Send at reasonable hours and keep it relevant. Blasting too often gets you muted or reported.
Tap the ? in the SMS hub any time for a quick best-practices and compliance refresher.
What to send
- A launch: "Tickets are live — [link]."
- A nudge as the date nears: "This Friday. Last tier almost gone."
- A thank-you or re-engage to past buyers, tagged from a previous event.
