On event night, TokTix turns your phone into a door scanner. Every ticket has a QR code; scanning it checks the guest in and stops the same ticket being used twice.
Scan tickets at the door
- Open your event and go to the Guest List.
- Tap the scan button to open the scanner.
- Point your camera at the guest's ticket QR code.
- A valid ticket shows a green check and marks the guest as checked in. Wave them through.
- Keep scanning — the scanner stays open for the next guest.
A refunded or already-scanned ticket is rejected on the spot, so you don't have to remember who came in. TokTix does.
Check someone in by hand
No QR code handy? You can check a guest in manually:
- Find them in the Guest List (search by name).
- Open their entry and mark them checked in.
This is useful for will-call, comps, or a guest whose phone died.
Undo a scan
Scanned the wrong person, or someone stepped out and needs to come back?
- Open the guest's entry.
- Tap Unscan to reverse the check-in.
Their ticket becomes valid again and can be scanned normally.
Set your team up to scan
You don't have to run the door alone. Invite a helper with the Scanner role — they get the guest list and the scanner, and nothing else (no analytics, no refunds). See Add a teammate: Partner vs Scanner.
Works offline
Spotty signal at the venue? Scanning keeps working with a cached guest list, so a weak connection at the door won't stop the line.
